Bogra is the city of ancient heritage and culture. Mohasthan, the oldest archaeological site in Bangladesh, is on the Western Bank of the river Karatoa, which is 2 km (5 minutes drive) north of Bogra town. There are a lot of historic places, museums and recreation parks in and around few kilometers from the hotel. Mohasthan Garh

Mohasthan Garh
is a famous archaeological site in whole of the Sub-Continent. It's ancient name was Poundra Nagar. Pundra Nagar was the Capital of the land ruled by Mourya and Gupta Rulers. It flourished and became the centre of Commerce, Education and Culture at that time. The archaeological excavations has

unearthed ample proof of those facts. Mohasthan has received international recognition from UNICEF.The archaeological relies surrounding Mohasthan Garh include Gobinda Vita, Bouddha Stambha, Museum, Shila Debir Ghat, Vasu Vihar, Gokul Medh, Behula Lakhindar Bashor-Ghar, Jiyat Kunda etc. The holy Shrine of Sha Sultan Balkhi Mahi Sawar, the great Preacher of Islam is situated at Mohasthan Garh where visitors come every day and offer Prayer. Mohasthan Garh is only 15 minutes drive from Hotel Naz Garden on the Bogra-Rangpur Highway.

 
 

Paharpur Buddhist Monastery

Paharpur
is a small village 5 km west of Jamalganj Railway Station in Naogaon district and about 45 minutes drive from Hotel Naz Garden where the remains of the most important and the largest known monastery, south of the Himalayas, has been excavated. This 8th century AD archaeological find covers approximately an area of 27

 

acres of land. The entire establishment occupies a quadrangular court, measuring more than 900 ft. and from 12 ft. to 15 ft. in height with an elaborate gateway complex on the north. There are 45 cells on the north and 44 in each of the other three sides with a total number of 177cells.The architecture of the pyramidal cruciform temple is profoundly influenced by those of south-east Asia, especially Myanmar and Java. It had taken its name from a high mound, which looks like Pahar or Hillock. There are also other places to enjoy likes Paharpur Museum, Terracotta plaques of Paharpur Vihara etc. 
 

 

Uttara Gana Bhaban-Natore

Natore
is one of the historic towns in Bangladesh. The Uttara Gana Bhaban is situated 1 hour drive from Hotel Naz Garden. A North Bengal Official Residence of the Hon'ble President of Bangladesh, which is 300 years oldest and enchanting archaeological Royal Palace (Rajbari). This was the residential place of 

historical and famous Raja of Natore Dighapatia Estate. Inside the palace there are lots to see and enjoy like Darbar Hall Jalsha Ghar, Temple, Weapons and Clothes of the Raja. In between 5 km there is another Royal Palace (Rajbari) called Palace of Rani Bhabani. It is also oldest and enchanting archaeological palace that is constructed on 60 acres of land and inside the palace there is Rani Bhabani Central Jubo Park, Picnic Spots, 6 largest Ponds, Temple etc., to observe and enjoy. 

 

Swapnapuri
